Important information about your GP practice
Dear Patient
We wanted to make you aware of a proposal to merge Bath St Medical Centre with Coseley Medical Centre and therefore relocate from our current address (Bath Street) to Coseley Medical Centre. Bath St offers limited space, which has hindered our ability to expand the clinical team to meet the needs of our growing patient population. As a result, some clinicians are working in isolation, which has led to difficulties in attracting additional staff to join our practice. Additionally, members of our reception team often work alone in the afternoons, which can increase phone wait times. With only one person handling both front desk queries and telephone calls, the service provided may be less efficient during these hours.
Coseley Medical Centre offers benefits such as ample car parking and disabled parking spaces as well as direct access to Minor Surgery, Steroid Injections, Implant and Coil Clinics.
In terms of distance, Bath Street Medical Centre is 1.7 miles away from Coseley Medical Centre and is well served by public transport (20 minute journey) or a 5 minute car journey. If we do move to Coseley Medical Centre, the practice team would also relocate so patients would continue to see our current staff alongside the Coseley staff. Other than the location, the service will remain the same but patients would have more access due to additional GPs working at Coseley Medical Centre and the surgery being open on a Saturday.
We’d like to hear your views on how this potential move would impact you
